For additions or cancellations in our activity list email Doris. If you haven't signed up for the Everett Mountaineers Singles E-group, you are missing out on a lot of fun activities! Last minute event changes and additions will be emailed to you if you send an email to Doris. Please place "Everett Mountaineers" in the subject line.

  1. your name
  2. whether you are a member or guest
  3. your telephone number
  4. an emergency contact name and telephone number

Jul. 31, Sat. - Kitsap Forest Theater, "Godspell" . We'll meet at Ash Way P&R at 9:30, and board the 10:30 ferry from Edmonds to Kingston. We'll have a potluck picnic on the theater grounds before the play and then walk about 1/4 mile downhill to the beautiful natural amphitheater.Go to www.foresttheater.com to buy your own tickets in advance. We can stop for dinner on the way home or eat leftovers on the ferry. Check the forecast and be prepared for weather on the peninsula. Sign up with leader. Jul. 31, Sat. - Tiffany Mountain . (M/S) (GT: Tiffany Mtn) 6 mi, 1,742' gain. See details on activity page. Leader: Bernadette Lamarca, 425-348-6746, mountain_babe@comcast.net.

Jul. 31, Sat. - Grasshopper Pass Canceled 06/30/10 . (M) 11 mi. RT, 2000 gain. Enjoy expansive views of surrounding jagged peaks on this section of the PCT. Azurite Peak and Mt. Ballard across the canyon are some of the highlights on this trail.Long drive to TH so we meet at 5:30am in Smokey Point. Leisurely pace. Aug. 7, Sat. - Snowgrass Flats/Goat Lake Basin . (S) 13.5 mi, 2000 gain. This scenic loop hike features broad flower-filled meadows of Snowgrass Flats, constant views of Mount Adams and Old Snowy Mountain. The trail boasts of a large variety of wildlife.The pass is one of the most scenic pass crossings of the Cascades. We will do this hike counterclockwise to get the best views from the trail. Leisurely pace. Meet time 5:30 am at Ash Way P&R. Driving through Randle adds an extra hour to get to the TH, hence the need to meet early. Sign up with leader. Aug. 11, Wed. - 6:30 pm Singles Monthly Planning and Socializing Meeting . Come join us at 6:30 pm to eat and socialize. At 7:00 pm to plan next month's activities. Meet at Silver Lake Alfy's on Hwy. 527 in South Everett.1/2 price pizza when you mention you're there for mountaineers mtg. Leader: Barb Mark, bam.mark1@verizon.net. Aug. 14, Sat. - Tolmie Peak/Mowich Lake Canceled 07/28/10 . (M) 7.2 mi, 1200' gain in, 200' out. We start from the Mowich Lake trailhead. At about 2.6 miles on the trail, we will take a break at Eunice Lake, one of the prettiest lakes in the park.The Mountain is visible from Eunice Lake. Slow pace. Limit 8. Aug. 21, Sat. - Grand Park, Rainier . (S) 13 mi, gain: 700 in, 1500 out. The Mountain is visible along the almost flat 2 mile long plateau of Grand Park where lupine, magenta paintbrush, orange paintbrush, Jacob's ladder, pink and white heather, Cusick's speedwell,arnica, glacier lilies, avalanche lilies, Western pasqueflower, Jeffrey's shooting stars, asters, valerian, mountain ash are in full bloom. Sep. 10-12, Fri.-Sun. - Mt Baker lodge Revised 07/26/10 . $55 for two nights and three days at our own Mt. Baker Mountaineers Lodge. Includes breakfast and dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday. Bring a lunch for Saturday. Friday night we take a short hike and explore the area.Saturday there is a hike to Lake Ann with a breathtaking view of Mt. Shuksan. Also there will be an easy hike to Chain Lakes. Or you can just bring a good book, rest and relax. Always a good time! Bring your customary personal items, including sleeping bag, and towel. Earplugs are suggested for light sleepers. Sleeping quarters are bunk beds, dormitory style.
