BASIC SEA KAYAKING Accepting applications
Begins April 2012

If visiting some of the most dynamic places on the planet, bird watching or just slipping onto a lake after work with new friends interests you, then the Everett Mountaineers Sea Kayaking Basics Course is for you.

The Sea Kayaking Basics course is offered once each year by the Everett Mountaineers. All instruction is offered in single sea kayaks. Most of the instruction in this course is based on the principles developed by the American Canoe Association, and an increasing number of our instructors are certified by that nationally acclaimed organization.

For more information check out the course description or to sign up go to www.mountaineers/org.
WINTER CAMPING COURSE
First meeting Feb 23, 2012 @ 6:30pm

The course consists of two evening lectures (Feb 23rd and Mar 1st) and one overnight weekend field trip (Mar 3rd & 4th).

The lectures will review clothing and equipment, winter hazards, and winter camping techniques. We'll sleep cozy in our tents but also have the opportunity to build snow caves and igloos!

This course is offered to both snowshoers and skiers, and our field trip will be appropriate for each.

Check out the course description for more information.
