The Everett Mountaineers Hiking division offers Lookout Peak awards and Hiking Mileage awards to qualified members of The Everett Mountaineers.

Everett Mountaineers Hiking Award Rules and Policies

Applicants

Shall be active members of The Mountaineers at the time of all qualifying trips.

Qualifying Trips

• Minimum of 3 people; at least 2 of which must be members of The Mountaineers.


• Shall be listed only one time per person for each award level or category per year.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Hike awards, all trip information must include date, location, leader, party members, and mileage. Send your trip information by the first of October to the Hike Chair. Hike awards presented at The Everett Mountaineers Annual Awards Banquet in November.

Lookout Peak Hiking Award

The Lookout Peak Award is presented to Everett Mountaineer members who reach the summit of any 12 peaks. These peaks have, or historically have had, lookouts on their summits, and can be reached by trail. The award was established in 1947.

Mountain Lakes Hiking Award

The Mountain Lakes Hiking Award is presented to Everett Mountaineer members who hike to any 15 alpine lakes. This award was established in 2002.

Hiking Mileage Award

Mileage levels at 100, 200 400, 600, 800, 1,000 and more.
